Maintenance Technician
Family founded in 2016, Castle Rock Farms Inc. operates a state-of-the-art, purpose built 86,000 square foot cannabis cultivation facility in Princeton, BC, and has positioned itself as a quality and efficiency leader in the cultivation and manufacturing of premium cannabis products for domestic sale and export to international medical markets. Castle Rock Farms operates adjacent to Optimi Health Corp., a leading Health Canada licensed psychedelics pharmaceutical manufacturer with products targeting health and wellness markets, which has common Directors (collectively “the Companies”).

To support our expansive growth, we are excited to welcome a Maintenance Technician to our team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be required to perform various maintenance tasks within all areas of the facility. The Maintenance Technician has primary responsibility for daily activities at Optimi Health Corp. in Princeton, BC.
In addition to working at the Optimi Health Corp. facility, the Maintenance Technician will support work done at the BC Green/Castle Rock Farms facility.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work on various equipment and machines, and a mechanical aptitude (i.e. Installation/maintaining Small electrical appliances, HVAC, Pumps, Basic Plumbing and Electrical to help maintain and assist with preventative measures) are all required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible to adhere to, maintain and promote a positive company culture
- Perform maintenance related tasks using skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and
hydraulic in repairing and troubleshooting equipment. - Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to equipment during production time.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Ensure uptime of equipment to meet production requirements.
- Read equipment manuals, drawings and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
- Comply with all GMP requirements when working on equipment.
- Maintain work order in automated system.
- Engage with equipment vendors for technical support to resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with new equipment installations and modifications.
- Hands-on approach to working on and troubleshooting equipment processes.
- Must be a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Promote and ensure a safe work environment with strict adherence to H&S protocols.
- Provide on-call duties and respond to emergencies as required to ensure product quality is
maintained. - Follow Company rules and policies regarding employee conduct and respect.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production
environment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles.
- Working knowledge and experience in a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including basic
plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, carpentry, and pumps. - Must be able to work independently and as a team.
- Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards and/or in a cannabis facility is an
asset. - Knowledge of safety procedures in accordance with WHMIS, OHSA, as well as local regulations.
- At the Company’s expense, consent to a criminal record background check in advance of starting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including exposure to humidity, heat, and cold.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Salary: $85,000 – $105,000/annually
