Production Administrator
Job Title: Production Administrator
Position Type: Full-Time
The Production Administrator will be responsible for data entry of daily production transactions, reviewing for reasonableness and the investigation of material variances while supporting the overall operations specific to cannabis production. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve inventory management goals while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
The Production Administrator will report to the Director, Finance, with a dotted line to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter inventory data into the system (Elevated -Seed to Sale Inventory System) and various spreadsheet trackers.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular inventory status reports for management review, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Track the movement of raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the production process.
- Help develop & implement the Bills of Materials for our products.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any inventory-related issues or concerns.
- Provide support during physical inventory audits.
- Analyze production events to identify unusual trends or performance issues to support process enhancements.
- Report daily production activities in manufacturing performance trackers for review with Production Management to support improved scheduling of manufacturing and packaging work orders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- 2-3 years inventory and/or administrative experience (regulated cannabis industry experience preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in inventory management software (or capable to quickly be trained) and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preference for a candidate with knowledge of inventory control principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the cannabis production industry.
Benefits:
- $50,000 – $65,000; dependant on experience.
